College, Ting, and Family =)

The past two months have been some of the busiest months of my life, literally!
Two months ago we got a call from my Grandmother telling us that she, and Savana were coming down for a visit before they took off for Hawaii. That night they told us that they wanted to go to Lee University, and let Savana see it. So the next morning Emilie, Savana, Dad, and I went to Lee, met some of the professors and ate lunch at the cafeteria. That's when we found out the real reason for their visit: Savana wanted to come to Lee! You see, my Dad works at Lee, so we are HUGE fans of it, and we wanted to get her there as soon as possible. She absolutely fell in love with Lee, and the professors, and decided she really wanted to go to college there.

The next day one of the professors she got to meet, contacted my Dad and told him that he thought Savana had a lot of potential, and that he really wanted her to come to Lee. He said that she would be automatically accepted no matter what her score on her ACT was, the only catch: she had to start in four weeks... She sent in her school and housing application, and waited for her letter of acceptance. After one more night with us, they left to go back to Georgia, and pack to go to Hawaii for three weeks.

Now lets fast-forward to January 6, Savana, Na-Na and Lexi are here.......

Before they got to our house, they decided to unload some of her stuff and drop it off at her dorm, so Me, dad, and Emilie went to help, and boy did they need it, she had two whole cars full of clothes, shoes, make-up, lights, bedding, ect. and she was on the third floor. After all most of the stuff was unloaded, we met the rest of the family at Cracker-Barrel for a much needed dinner, all that working can make you hungry! That night we all went back to the house to go to sleep, Savana had to be at Lee the next morning at 7:30 the next morning for her ACT test.

Wednesday morning she started classes, and loved it! We are so happy for her.
Sunday afternoon Na-Na and Lexi left, and went back to Ga.

Savana is doing really well in all of her classes, and loves her professors, we have been able to spend a lot of time with her, and Jamison started calling her "Ting-Ting" then he shortened it to "Ting," he can't quite say "Savana" so she came up Ting to make it a bit easier for him, haha.

Here are a few pictures I got of her getting ready to go eat one night :)

Hope everyone else is having a good week:)
